The Centurion

                                                           I have only ONCE confessed the story my Gentle Readers will now be subjected to, it was to one of my co-workers, a Presbyter by Faith .   Upon hearing it he aske me if I considered my own story as TRUTH .   Make no mistake, I did then and I do now .

                                                                   The Centurion

                             St Luke describes an Incident of Miracle :

                                       "There was a Centurion whose cherished Slave was deathly ill .   {I have had to modify St. Luke's Story by changing Slave to Daughter} .  When the Centurion heard of Jesus and His curative Powers he sent a few of his valued Workers to find Jesus and ask that He have Mercy and come to the Centurion's Residence and Heal his Most Cherished ."

                            I was there for that, a soldier under the command of that Centurion .   Luke records that this Centurion had helped build a synagogue for the Locals, and so was highly honored by them .   I, too, was a worker, and did my part as a manual labor guy .

                           I saw Jesus, heard Him speak, saw that He HEALED the Daughter, bringing her away from Death......   I WAS AMAZED AND ASTOUNDED    HOW COULD THIS BE ?????????

                          I do not recall if I surrendered immediately , I tend to doubt I did, the Cult of Mithras had been the Standard to date, and was so among those in Rome's Armies .  But this ?????    This THIS was FUCKING BIZARRE .   I confess ;   I WAS SCARED FUCKING SHIT !!!!   Still, I related the Incident to EVERYBODY I could, including my own "Brothers In  Arms" .
