the SP LIT

                                                           Elsewhere I have proffered that -you can't fix Covid with even MORE Covid, and in the same way, you can't fix Democracy with even MORE Democracy .    I now depict Democracy as a Hammer whose handle has [ sp lit ] .   I mean, it's your favorite Hammer and you WANT that once PERFECT handle to just BE THERE because of its TOTAL PERFECTION, its "HEFT" .    What you do IFF you wanna keep it , is get some electrical tape and wind it around it as you would the knob of a hockey stick , but unlike a hockey stick knob, this tape is like putting "a Band-aid on a bleeding artery" ---  the Haft will NEVER BE THE SAME , and it WILL WORK  so long as you UNDERUSE it, treat it with "kid gloves" and otherwise temper your resolution to "baby" a something that was once considered INDESRUCTABLE .   

                           One of my "pet phrases" is =  "You can't make steak from hamburger " ---- I hazard =  You can't make Democracy from Fascism ---- that America is >>> SP  LIT <<< at its Core, the Core being the American Electorate  AND  that Democracy has been SP  LIT from its CONSTITUTIIONAL Essence .    Even IF you wrap tape around America's Handle, it AIN'T-GONNA "be the Same" and "By Definition" IT CAN'T EVER BE THE SAME AS IT ONCE WAS .   We broke it, and  now we must OWN IT .
