...to be "Ass Holy"

                                                           I useta* defend being a "Militant Idealist" with 

                                                                 "I put the FIST in Paci-fist".   

                                 Ridiculous I know, BUT .................. 

                                 I wondered if there could be a 'thing' called "RIGHTEOUS Arrogance" .   No Humility, like, AT ALL ........... .     I know THAT too .

                                 I figured there HAD-TA be a REASON that the Divine Infinite chose to "Bring Forth" Zen Sword, "Shim Gum Do" , the "Mind Sword Path", into Buddhism, a Traditionally PACIFIST Order .   Why would Buddhists need to wield Sword ?   Isn't that in DIRECT OPPOSITION to Buddha's Teaching ?   I mean ya-gotta believe "FUCK YEAH"  but IS It ????

                                There this :  when Bodhidharma arrived at what was to become a Shao-Lin Temple He was DISGUSTED at what He saw ;  lazy ass monks unwilling even to tend the gardens, police the grounds, and even Beg door-to-door the ESSENCE of Commitment to the Temple's Villagers .    He saw that the Monks were HIDEOUSLY UNHEALTHY and in order to remedy their condition He initiated  Bowing and then HIS version of Martial Arts that their Strength be increased and their Bodies re-conditioned .   My Order, the South Korean <Chogye< is a DIRECT DECENDENT of Bodhidharma's Teaching .   I can bear little Pride, but the Pride I DO bear finds Foundation in Bodhidharma's Teachings .

                               "Just Sitting" was obviously  NOT ENOUGH to advance Individual Attainment nor that of the Temple "writ large" .   That the monks were lazy and slothful was a manifestation of Buddhism at that time .   We MUST CONCLUDE then, that the Buddhism of OUR Day was similar to that of Bodhidharma's Time and that the Divine Infinite sought "corrective measures" to alter Buddhism's Trajectory .
