Republican {trumpistanian} campaign rhetoric has reached something of a 'fever' pitch : they have resorted to FEAR in order to "energize" the "base" [comprised primarily of non-college educated voters, mostly White] as an Effort to ensure [that] they actually Vote . Pundits, opinionists* and the Brain-ful* have agreed that the republicans "have nothing left" on which to promote, given the desultory vacuity of trump's own speech and savagely self-serving 'policies' .
In keeping with my most recent Effort to utilize "Kiddie Lit" as a scaffolding to view PROPAGANDA,, I offer "The Boy Who Cried Wolf" . The original title is : "The Shepherd Boy And The Wolf", and it's one of Aesop's Fables . We must s---t---r---e---t---c---h our Imagination to apply it to republican' s use of FEAR and I do so via Authorial Prerogative .
We know the story, it has been "ingrained" in our Collective Psych as a MEANS to keep our children from 'telling lies' for `amusement`, as did the Shepherd Boy, and to keep them "on the straight and narrow", a Path of Honesty {"Honesty is the Best Policy"} . >"IT"< gets UGLY in Modern Times, as Paranoia, is expressed in Fear---Fear that the democrats will 'over-run' the Country and with it, the elimination of Ante-Bellum Sovereignty the South, so TREASURED by White Racists and Bigots .
The Shepherd Boy PROOVED he was a LIAR, after having fooled the Villagers not once, but TWICE . The second time was all it took for the Villagers to tag this nit-wit kid a LIAR . Recall this : "Fool me once shame on you, fool me TWICE SHAME ON ME" .
