It may be that I have inadvertently offended my Gentle Readers by suggesting they enter the Realm of Children's Literature ("Kiddie Lit") . If so, I apologize . Every tribe, every hamlet, every village has their own Stories of Creation, [Myths] as well as Stories, Fables and Tales that supply their offspring with the Values, Morals, Mores and Ethos that is the foundation of their own Social Reality, hence my desire to communicate a ONE-NESS of Global Civilization . It occurred to me yesterday afternoon, that Folks consider Kiddie Lit somehow 'beneath' them, and I understand that ; to these Folks I offer the Study of Myth(s) because Myths supply those Very Same but for an Adult Appetite .
Dr. Joseph Campbell is considered the PRE-EMMINENT SCHOLAR of Mythology and I STRONGLY Recommend the following : THE MASKS OF GOD ORIENTAL MYTHOLOGY ; THE MASKS OF GOD CREATIVE MYTHOLOGY ; THE HERO WITH A THOUSAND FACES . However, there is one text that is at the Apex of the Study of Myth and it is : HAMLET'S MILL AN ESSAY INVESTIGATING THE ORIGINS OF HUMAN KNOWLEDGE AND ITS TRANSMISSION THROUGH MYTH . It is written by Giorgio De Santillana and Hertha von Dechend . "IT", the Text, is of INESTIMABLE Value .
