"White Lies"

                       The famous "Some Guy" was a guest on Wallace's program yesterday aft.  His new book on Truth was just released and Wallace wanted to query him regarding Truth and its "erosion" .   Come to learn, I wasn't the only one concerned with Truth and how it manifests--OR DOES NOT-- in Politics .  His solution to Truth erosion was to 'get' politicians to sign an "Oath" that they will not lie to anybody .    

           I mean, shit, haven't they  ALREADY  signed  an  Allegiance  to  the  Constitution  of  the Untied States ???   Look at what has resulted ,  some 137 members REFUSED to acknowledge the Truth about Biden's Election Victory .   Isn't this proof enough that some men's words are NOT charged with ANY form  of  Honor  [nor Virtue]  ????    ANY >>> Promise <<< can be delivered .  NO "Loyalty Oath" is-gonna neutralize Corruption {Core Rupture} .   

Mind/Body Politic

                       Elsewhere I have contended that the "Body Politic" is ONE "Body", where "Body" is the Electoral Population .    For >MY< Reasoning, I must present the `Mind` Politic as also, "One Mind" .   I do so because the Greatest Generals Consider their ENTIRE Army as just ONE Soldier --- so this {my} Consideration has Precedence .

           I find it IMPERATIVE to differentiate 'Addiction' from Neurosis but BOTH 'influence' {perhaps a poor choice of word} Election Mindset(s) .   Recall that 'Addiction' is, fore the most part, PHYSICAL, while Neurosis {and while we're at it, Schizophrenia} is/are LARGELY  Mental .   I MUST supplement the Claim {clear+aim} that the Psychological Aspect has Instinct as a `Driver` of  Motivation .   It is Instinct that is responsible for Hatred of the Other, which I have insisted is a variant of "The Instinct For Self Preservation" .   Folks use Hate as Protection .

          

Gone and TOTALLY Forgotten

                       I mean, what do you say to someone who says, "You are insignificant ,, [you] have NO PLACE in the Future AND {therefore} we DON'T CARE about you ."   Not JUST 'abandoned' but DISCARDED ?    "Grounds" for Hatred - Rage and Fury ?   I think so .

The Ruthless of Truthless

                       I theorize that the evaporation of Truth was the result of the Loss of "The Promise of the Future" .   Indeed, when folks are told that their jobs have "Gone" , the Future, which is DIRECTLY chained to Livelihood, >>>Somehow<<< 'becomes' non-existent .   The Chinese are fond of, "No Money, No Life"; in this instance it's a Logic trail ;  No Job, No Money = No Life, which I am inclined to register as :  No Job, No Money, No Life No Future .  

              When one's job DEFINES one's existence it's EZ to see :  No Job, No Existence which then translates as:  "You are now OBSOLETE and therefore INSIGNIFICANT ."   2 Words:  No one wants to be insignificant .

               Here now the Source and Origin of Outrage, not only on the Surface but to the Core of one's  Being  where it does [seemingly] irreparable Damage to singular Psyche's and the Communal Conscious .   It's  a short trot to Hatred,  raw, pure and unadulterated .   Here it is where Truth Kills .

                       The Question must be b-r-o-a-d-e-n-e-d .   WHY would we KNOWINGLY resurrect a System of Governance which GUARANTEES >>> FAILURE <<< ???    The Logic that [Democracy] dictates GUARANTEED FAILURE is IRREFUTABLE !!!  I mean shit, you can't miss this "Non-Sense".

               The Purity of Democracy is dependent upon its Human Users .   Since Humans are prone to Corruption and Humans are Responsible for Democracy, once again, Logic dictates that Humans must try and remain [Ideationally*] PURE if ANY sort of Success is to be experienced .   Elsewhere, I have claimed "Hypocrisy is the Life-Blood of Corruption" --- I stand-by that Claim .   So now, IF we are to use Logic as in aid in Reasoning, we cannot help but to observe that PURISTS are to be the Guardians of the Socio-Political Galaxy .   

           

In Trust We God

                       You can see the Problem[s] straight-away .   A Return to the Status Quo is the Return to a Democracy that, for OBVIOUS Reasons, CANNOT withstand HUMAN CORRUPTION .    Human fail-ability [Frailty?] ,   almost SURELY condemns Democracy to ---->Failure<--- BECAUSE OF HUMAN NATURE .    Since Democracy DEMANDS "unremitting Vigilance" it is ESSENTIAL that OVERSIGHT has, as its Protector, LAWS and PUNISHMENTS for >>>> "Violators of Citizen Trust" .   

Phaque Reality

                        Ya gotta ask, What is to be the new trajectory of Democracy and its care taker, the Democratic Party ?    The overarching consensus is that they Failed because they were COMPLETELY  "out-of-touch" with Middle America's >>> Reality .   If that is the Truth, how, exactly, are democraps* to regain [the] Minds of those `in the Middle` so that Reality is "shared" as in "Shared Commonality" [which is] the Foundation of ANY {POSITIVE} `Advancement` both Societal and Cultural ?  

            

"Gun Shy"

                       It seems as if EVERYBODY is asking, "What happens now ?"   I am among them .   Varied panelists on both MSNBC and CNN have offered "worst case" scenarios that are outrageously sickening .   Technically, there will be NO stopping trump and his .   The democraps* are still REELING from what they figured to be a "Sure Thing" ---  I mean it this way :   They FAILED and have yet to establish a new Framework for re-establishing a Democracy gone hideously >>> South {the Neo-Confederacy characterized by DEEPEST Nazi-ism} .   I mean it this OTHER way :   How long are they gonna spend with their tails "between their legs", "licking their wounds" ?   

"Gone, but not forgotten."

                       From Job we learn that the Innocent Suffer because it is God's Will .    His Will cannot be 'known' for this Reason :  The Finite Mind CANNOT 'know' the Infinite .   Personally, I find the Answer distressing .   Understand that Job's FAITH did not falter --- to his credit .   

               There was a problem however .   Scholars believe that the "Happy Ending" was written well AFTER the Original and was designed to COUNTER the Original Story by having God restore ALL of Job's Industry, Family included .   Can we call THAT a "Miracle" ???   

               Through God's Will, the Torture of Job was ended and Job "lived joyful days" until he died .   Would that Same be delivered unto us .

                      Folks ask, "Why do the Innocent Suffer ?"  The Book of Job is the Answer .    Satan asks the Almighty for permission to test Job, believing that if he can 'turn' Job against the Most High he will prove to God that Man is Inferior, and that man will always succumb to the enticement [to dismiss Good and harbor Evil]  and ultimately REJECT the Divine .   Job accepts the Tortures and Torments and his Faith in the Lord NEVER wavers .    2 words :   most of us are NOT Job .

The Horror

            There was a Time when learned Men wrote a "Testament" as something of a legacy of their Existence-- a Devotional as it were, to the Power and Glory of God .    I, too, wish to leave something 'behind' but there are days when Life is just one fucking Horror Show after another, with no end in sight .   It is as if the Universe keeps sending me Shit -- a kind of fucking TORTURE -- that is UN-Imaginable,, which compounds its toxicity .   Here it is where Safety and Protection-from-Harm seem not to exist--ANYWHERE-- leaving me to the ravages of  Fate, Karma and Destiny .

Miss Taken

                        There's this one from the [Red-Neck] South :  "If you're so fucking Smart, [then] why ain't you RICH ?"    Does Intelligence translate to Wealth ?   Is Intelligence 'bonded' to Wealth ?    Is the Premise, "All Wealth is the result of Intelligence" ?   Just exactly how valid is that ?    What can be said of Folks who sneer at Wealth and use "The love of money is the root of all Evil" as leverage to justify their "less-than"  Social position ?  How are THEY "to be Judged" ?   

           Every time I hear, "Don't worry, it's only money" I want to scream, OKAY --THEN GIVE ME ALL YOUR MONEY AND WE'LL SEE WHAT YOU THINK THEN !!!   If you felt Anger and Bitterness in that Out-BURST, you are not mistaken .   {"It" has been a lifelong fixation on my part} {{Remember all those ISSUES I have ???}   If  you  aint  never  had  you  no  REAL  money,  you  KNOW what I'm talkin' about .   One can claim, "Rich folks don't know Suffering" .   Here, the Definition of Suffering is "up" for marked Consideration .

The Vicissitudes of Fear and Self-Loathing

                       It's probably best if I remind you Qidz* that Vicissitude is "constant, NATURAL change" ---here it is where the VACILLATIONS of normal-everyday Mind are experienced as "endemic", meaning, they are Part of EVERY-ONE'S Psyche .    

             I WANT to Believe I have satisfied Academic and Philosophical Standards that are the Responses to GREAT Questions answered by GREAT Men who AREN'T {and were never} distracted by Public Sentiment .    Of course, I have no REAL >>> Validation but I HAVE read a fucking TON of Material spanning MOST of the History of Human-Kind ... and then there's the 40+ YEARS of Buddhist Study .   I mean, there's THAT .   Thing is, how is THAT anything compared to what Average Folks do on a daily basis ???   I LOVE myself for at least being ABLE to "Ask and Answer" but did those Questions and Answers EVA "help" with the day-to-day exactions* of Sustaining Existence ???   Even though they help Define me as an Individual did they 'advance' Civilization ???   LMFAO .

The o-u in Doubt and the o-u in Lout

                       It seems like ya GOTTA ask, `How is a man to judge HIMSELF ? `   What Criteria is to be used that would provide PRECISE analytical evidence ?   Can Self-Investigation REALLY provide anything that is NOT "Subjective" ?   THAT'S a tough one .

            At 73 I have already entered the 'Death Phase of Life' , I have wondered if I have lived a Life in which ALL my positive Attributes have been exercised FULLY >>> {NOT a "tough one' bc I'm so fucking LAZY .}    Did I REALLY "Do my best ?"    I wonder ....... .   Once you have "Accepted" who and what you are it sorta BLURS the images of Success and Failure which then begs, "What are the Definitions of Success and Failure ?"   Is one man's Success that of his fellow individuals?   How many times have ALL of Us "B-E-n-T" the Definition of Success in order to gain some Relief  from Doubt and Worry ?               

             

Fool-ism

                       I have found no clear calibration that would register the "scope and measure" of a man-- ANY man .    The HUGEST Obstruction is the not-quite-gentle admonition :  "Judge not lest YE be judged" .     As children we heard :  "Do NOT judge a book{man} by its cover{his or her apparel}" -- a GENERAL Rule that generates Suspicion with regard to the Circumstances 'at hand' .    Here's the "Thing-about -THAT"  :   We MUST "Judge a book by its cover" because THAT `Satisfies` [the] PRIMAL Instinctuality*,,, a one which  DEMANDS 'Recognition' of "Friend or Foe" .    Note here that this "Instinct" is one of "Self-Preservation"-- the one of Self-Protection .    FOOLISH  it wood* be to openly Trust  ANYONE  just because of the way they 'look' --- but in America ,  Foolish Trust is a "Way of Life" .  

Suck Cess

                       It tested "Safe" outdoors but wood it test "Safe" inside ?   Only one way to make that determination .   

            I moved the Burners and tank to the Tools' Room and reconnected the hose/regulator .   I opened the valve--NO leak and with that , ignited one of the burners .    I let it burn until the room got heated, about an hour or so and there was NO change .   But THAT wasn't the end of it .   I still had to test to see if it leaked when the burners WEREN'T fired .   A couple more hours elapsed --- I checked everything ~~~~ SUCCESS !!!

            I gotta-tell-ya I was MIFFED {bordering on MORTIFIED} !!!!!   The entire Episode did NOT "explain" the original leak .  I had figured that the valve assembly on the tank had somehow gotten loose---how the fuck cood THAT happen ?   It WASN'T loose .   What had "happened" to that valve assembly ??????????????

            "Mystery upon Mystery /  The Gateway to the Manifold Secrets" .

            

"A good day to" try

                       Another day elapsed and then the thought that the tank had been critically over-filled 'arrived', perhaps THAT was the cause of the leak, thing is, I NEVER heard nor experienced such a thing, BUT !!!!!!... .   If that was the case than all that mattered was to vent the tank --EZ-PZ--- !   I waited bc I didn't want to waste the fuel........I mean what else {what other solution} was there ?

               Even more Time transpired { a day ?  Two ?? }  .   

               This arrived :   How to vent the tank PROPERLY ???  Much better question .   I wandered and pondered ... .   This arrived next :  conduct an experiment !!  Bring the 3-burner stove outdoors, connect the tank and see what happens .  THAT made much more sense .   

              Through-out all this miasma of thinking I was filled with the ominous presence of Life-Ending Catastrophe--- the one in which I get expLODED and the House as well .   I set the tank at the end of its hose to establish DISTANCE from the Tri-Burners .

Tanks "for the memories"

                       What was 'at stake' here ?  \\\\\\\\\43  At Home Depot, a [sorta] new fully loaded tank costs [about] $70 --- no small amount for a retired guy ---  I had "Skin in the game" ~~~ plus  I NEEDED not one, not two, but THREE tanks in order to solve the heating problems of the lower level .   If [indeed] the tank was junk I'd have to replace it and the fuel as well --- a clear and somewhat EZ option but I gotta tell ya, I DIDN'T want to throw it away --- something inside me rejected that notion, like, "out of hand" .  

             I needed to drain that tank, optimally, into a USEABLE same --- but how ?  OBVIOUSLY   I needed a connecting device to bridge both tanks which would then allow a transfer, but as we all know, the two tanks would  equalize pressure so that both would contain fuel --- it WASN'T "Win-Win" so much as it was _______________ .   

              I went to "On Line" and sure enough they DO make a connection and IT would half-solve the Problem .   I drove over to the Hardware Store but Skip and his did NOT 'carry' such a device--- a warning shot that my thinking had flaws--- nothing nu here .

Propane Pro Pain

                       I wanna tell you about one of my propane tanks because it's like an episode out of the "Twilight Zone" .   I had both the tanks filled, as per usual, but when I brought one of the tanks down into the Tools' Room, it started to leak .  As kwik* as I could I brought it back up and outdoors to prevent an expLOSION .   It stopped leaking .   WTF ???!!!  After a day I tried again for no LOGICAL Reason and the same thing happened---so now I'm figurin' that [relative] warmth was the cause .  thing about THAT was in all my years dealing with propane tanks {BBQ grille size} I never had a tank that leaked, I mean NEVER .   Another day expired and when I picked it up to re-position it to a safer location, the tank had NOT leaked and was "FULL" [for the most part] .   I had a "FULL" tank that was UN-usable .   "Uhh, Houston ?  We have a problem."

Miss Taken

                       If I'm not mistaken, {and PLEASE don't correct me if I'm rwong} the group "Little Feat" 'does' "Don't Bogart That Joint" -- a super-crisp, bleary-eyed PLEA to SHARE .    It's whacked, sorta, because the whole thing BEHIND  "gettin' HY" is COMMUNAL Experience .    Most want to SHARE the Experience ---it just makes things BETTER .

                  Gettin' HY in MOST of its Forms is a TRIBAL Experience in which the RITUAL is performed according  to  ANCIENT  Deliberation .   But  what  of  the  matter  of  NOT  Sharing ????   2 words :  Selfishness .   In this Tribe you immediately relinquish your Membership if you do NOT Share --- Communalism* at its most advantageous .   "Removal of a {get this} FOREIGN Body" -  thereby re-establishing Order and with it the restoration of Harmony within the Tribe .   

Faith

                        Among the plethora of antonyms for Fear is {believe it or don't}  >>FAITH<< .   I have a predilection for the selection of  Faith because Faith is one of the Three Essences of Buddhism :  "Great Faith--Great Courage--Great Question" .   Here it is where a "True Believer" has "Great Faith".  I am such an one .

           Can  an  Argument  be  made  that  Faith   NEUTRALIZES   Fear ?    I mean, shit-yeah, but is 'it' VALID ?   If Faith IS a Neutralizing Agent --exactly HOW does it 'work' ?   I mean it this way :  when you're SCARED SHIT is Faith gonna "arrive" to "Save the day" ??    Initially, of course not ---but if one is able to achieve a modicum of composure then Faith DOES "arrive" in the form of >>>Confidence in one's Self<<< which CAN be 'linked' to Bravery .   Oddly :   no Bravery no Faith, no Faith no Bravery .   Fuck if that aint a "Tough One".

"Just one"

                       Back in the Olden Days of Yesteryore* there was a Lays Potato Chips commercial :   An Eskimo eating from a FULL bag of Lays was munching quietly in front of a city-slicker who was just DYIN' for a chip--when an invitation to indulge was NOT forthcoming he asked for one.  The Eskimo deadpanned, "If I give you one -  I'll have to give EVERYBODY one".

               Such is the reprehensible Defense of NOT Sharing .

                       I HAVE considered that Selfishness is some non-aberrant manifestation of Fear .   Here's why :   Perhaps it is that Selfishness is some aspect of Self-protection, meaning, there exists a FEAR of "never having enough"{upon which to maintain Life} .  Here it is where >>>SHARING<<< is NOT a Consideration of the Selfish .  If you SHARE then YOU don't have all you THINK you need , which OBVIOUSLY poses a THREAT/RISK .  Some of THAT looks like this :  "I NEED all I have !"    Controversial at best, at worst, fucking DEPLORABLE !

               I WANT to connect Selfishness to "The Instinct for Self Preservation"  thereby removing Selfishness from the containment of Conscious >mental activity< and placing it within Primal Instinctuality, which then allows me to suggest that Selfishness is an INBORN 'Condition' .   By no means is this an EXCUSE for Conservatism .   Rather, it is my Effort to express the abject POWER of Selfishness -- to view Selfishness as an ETERNAL 'Aspect' of Human Psyche .  Look at it this way''when the Universe came into Being, and Humans also 'came into Being', Selfishness 'came into Being' as well .

                       To their Credit, Hippies sacrificed 'Self  Interest' and supplanted it with COMMUNAL Interests .   I take the liberty of  "authorial prerogative" and  tag Hippie Socialism as Communalism* .   We know {one of} the results of Communalism --- Reagan and his Reaganism* --- Mind-Bending {Heart Breaking} Conservatism -----> on STEROIDS .   Against the fucking GRAVITY of Status Quo Conservatism the Hippies had NO Chance .   Worse, as Hippies aged, they changed--- and here >transmogrified< IS appropriate .   That Change looks like this : "They became what they beheld ."  

The Grate Society

                        I am hard-pressed to consider Conservatism to be something of a 'modern' particular .   My GUESS is that Conservatism was ALWAYS {all ways} a 'Condition' of Human Psychology .   Yesterday I posited that the Hippie Movement was a COUNTER-Culture to Status Quo Conservatism .   The Hippie Sub-Culture did NOT manufacture Conservatism, shit, how cood it ?   But there IS a 'Dynamic' that parallels Obama's Election and the resultant Election of trump --- as if {as though} Hippie-Ism CAUSED Right Wing Back-Lash .   I mean `it` this way :   Some of us Believe that the Election of Obama DID 'cause' the election of trump --- so it is that Hippie-Ism 'caused' IMMEDIATE 'Response' from their own age group .   Hippie-Ism  caused  LBJ  to  vacate  the  Presidency  and  with  it the "Great Society" .   

Ire Land

                       I wondered whether or not I was "Self Indulgent"--- the one where 'self indulgence was a NEGATIVE trait [characteristic] -- the one where Indulgence bordered on being Selfish .   While I was floundering in the pond of Pondering, something happened and I b--r--o--a--d--e--n--e-d  'self indulgence' to include Selfishness but on a Cultural and Societal Level .    I have always wondered if Hippie-Ism was responsible for a BACKLASH of Conservative Ire .  Hippie-Ism promoted the memorable, "Make Love not War" --- the Ideation [perhaps] of Innocent CHILDREN .   Hippie-Ism also promoted a kind of Socialism wherein TRUE Benefit manifested as COMMUNAL Health---here it is where the Well-fare {fair} of the GROUP was more important than the welfare of just one member .   This THIS was something of a dilemma since the Group VALUED   >Individual Sovereignty< .   

           I wondered if the same "Woodstock" Generation also had "Smash-mouth" Conservatives who decried Hippie-Ism and favored a Conservatism based upon the Military and Industrial Complexes .   Here it is that Conservatives considered their Taxes as THEIR OWN MONIES and INSISTED that THEIR MONIES be applied to Areas that THEY considered Important --- they NEVER relinquished their 'Hold' on Monies destined for COMMUNAL Well Being---what I consider a Cultural/Societal SELFISHNESS .

The h-e-a in Heat and the h-e-a in Health

                        OBVIOUSLY a heated environment lends itself to increased Productivity --- wearing fifteen layers to protect one's self from the cold is dys-advantageous* .    All those layers acted like a fucking SPACESUIT --- CUMBERSOME gets us there .

              Still -- I cood NOT conform to the Logic that viewed Heat as Health, instead, I submitted to Guilt and Shame as the foundation for  `Wealth in Poverty` and Zen Master Steve Winwood's, "Happiness in Strife" .  There's this :  You fucking need MONEY to be "Healthy" --- and when you have NONE, "You make do" .      

                  

Ezra

                       There's this long-standing Conceit that it was somehow HONORABLE to "Suffer" for one's Art -- well THAT is fucking HORSE-SHIT from the "get-go" .    The Ancient Kung-Fu Master explained 'it' this  way :   "When  the  Heart  overflows  with  Love,   THEN there is Music" {and Poetry and the other Arts} .   By definition Suffering is NOT Love {although there are Qats* like me who view Suffering MUCH differently than Others} .   In his Book,  Why We're Polarized,  Ezra Klein spends some Time explaining his move to a Location that was CONDUCIVE to a Writer's Productivity and that Location was NOT one where Suffering was even a tiny factor .   

             I use-ta have-ta try and write wearing a complement of Outer WORK wear to protect me from the Interior Cold.  Indeed I devised this gag :  `It was so cold inside, I had-ta open up the windows and doors to let some Heat in . `   Such were the Old Days .   

            

Heater Eater

                       When I sit at desk for any length of time I have a need to get up and walk .   Old age is ANYTHING but >Kind<  .   The Cave is on the North side of the house, the Audio-Visual Room, which is now the Kittens' Quarters and use-to be the Monk's Room has two windows that cannot contain Heat, since both windows leak freezing air into the Room via the classic DRAFTS .    Thing is, the Room affords an Outer View that is VERY pleasing and the 'walk' is essential .  

               In the Ancient Times of Yesterday, I use-to wheel the Remington Mini-Furnace into the Room so that I wouldn't FREEZE when I looked out the window .   It's not that wheeling the unit into the room was a CHORE but it was fucking close--EVER so fucking close .   Also :  by using the Remington in this way I would half-life the charge in the tank, making it costly in a non-invasive way ;  I have the money and at this point in my life I can afford the extra cost, since the HEALTH BENEFIT was SENSATIONAL .   But there were Problems with my Thinking .   {Aren't there always ???} 

Knob Snob

                      I never know how  much personal stuff my Readers will tolerate .   I want to write about purchasing a new propane fueled space heater but attaching Significance to it is the Challenge .   I mean it this way :  who fucking CARES that an old man buys a space heater ?--  so what ?

           My Hero, Hermann Hesse, once spent some considerable time describing his indecision regarding whether not not to put a rubber knob at the end of his walking cane .  Apparently he considered the knob to be 'bourgeois' {decadent} and because he was a man of convinced liberality 'it' would somehow go against his Principles .   Now, for me, it would have been a decision based on mechanics, the knob would provide "bite" to the cane and prevent slippage and/or skidding, so in that decision, Science rules .  Thing is, Hesse persisted and did so from a CULTURAL standpoint,, making the knob a fucking SYMBOL of Social/Cultural refinement and/or sophistication .  This THIS is the "authorial privilege" we have learned to Respect .  

"Trivial Pursuit"

                       What's worse than not having a 'first sentence' is having one THOUSAND 'first sentences' .   Elsewhere I have described this THIS as a 'tornadic  >swirl< which is something of an oxymoron, 'swirl' is far too  inaccurate and the use of 'whirlwind' is a Biblical reference that may be inappropriate as well .  The thing is this :  there's SOOO MUCH Shit about which to write and THAT results in an indecision that borders on being CHRONIC in scope and measure .   

              As a devoted writer {I'm a WRYter} I strive for "delivering the goods" and avoid offerings that are 'bad' .  At 73, I feel it necessary to provide INSIGHTS that my particular form of [Self-] Education provides .   Here it is where, "If a man's speech is not better than silence, he should remain quiet."  is paralleled with, "If a man's words are not better than a blank page, he should remain inactive."  

                

Mining the Mind Feels

                       Besides getting HY to Heal I use MJ to assist me in MINING for Gold, Silver and ALL other Precious Metals as well as Diamonds and Other Gems .   These Treasures manifest as particular lines that are 'quote worthy' and especially LYRIC lines from Songs and un-Music-ed Poetry .   2 of my Favs :  "...happiness in strife" and "His hands were torn and bloody, from the scratching at his Soul ";  both from Zen Master Steve Winwood .   There are Others of course but these two "RING-OUT" .  

            There are those who get HY and watch the "Idiot Box" content with the Contentment MJ affords-- I use-ta indulge in that "Recess" but now I've turned OLD and insist that I do NOT waste the HY on Self-Indulgence and choose instead the comfy-cozy of Chairy-Chair's embrace that I may mine said fields mentioned above .   The tornadic swirl of cluster-fuck thoughts is denied access to these Mind Feels {Fields} and the result is a Stillness that DEFINES Emptiness .  Here, thought objects and items  can be evaluated for their  QUALITY .   "It" takes Time but is well worth the 'Investment' in Effort .  Here it is where "Just Sitting" is an ACTIVITY where, in Stillness, the Mind >>moves<< {the gear box in Neutral} .

RUSH to Judgement

                       It MAY be that the Effects of THC are singular to me and ONLY me, which would then compromise ANY Efforts to seek Universal Truths from the MJ [Mary Jane] Experience .   When my [then] room-mate, one Robert K. Brewster, got HY for the first time THIS was his 'report' :  "I see Colors, I hear Music" such was the first "rush" from MJ's ---> Kiss .  

               I  THINK  no one wood* deny the 'Colors' and the 'Music' aspect of THC involvement but I wood add  that  ONE  of  the  components  of  THC  is  its  innate  quality to generate  INTENSITY !    I LOVE this INTENSITY !!  Here it is where EVERY-THING is magnIFIED {somehow made BETTER than Reality } such is the Nature of its Essence .   And PLEASE, don't correct me if I'm rwong .

Tuner Fish

                       I had to STOP gazing at my Lava Lamps bc I got ENGROSSED in their SUPER Fluidity.  It was just so goddamn INTERESTING to Contemplate the Movements of the Galaxy via the "Lava" and its BUBBLES that somehow provide a scale model of the Universe and ITS generation of Planets and Stars .   I have Issues... .

            Still...  I use-to promote the Experience of Lava Lamp Gazing as an AID to Meditation now I only SUGGEST Lava Lamp Gazing and do so for Beginners who NEED {oddly} Visual Aids to help Focus their Minds on just ONE item .   The Concept [to be] addressed is that of 'the SUSPENSION' of Thinking, which enables various Cosmic Variables to 'arrive' at ConsciousNess* .   Here it is were the Mind 'acts' lie a stereo TUNER, able to receive Cosmic Vibrations when the unit is "Tuned In" .  Indeed, the FAMOUS Mind >Tesla< perceived Humans as nothing more than robot ANTENNAS, crude Tuners with less than ample refinement .   But when you get "Tuned In", I mean, you're THERE .

Gears

                       Of the 5 R's, Regeneration is the most difficult to describe and explain since all I have available  to  me  {personally}  are  references  to  MECHANICAL  Engineering .   Specifically, >Transmission<,  which  includes,  clutch and gear-box, as it contains all the gears necessary for Movement .   Regeneration is the Mind's Instinctual ability to ADAPT .   Once Relaxation is achieved, and the Mind is 'at Rest', there is 'Space' in which Healing manifests as Stillness  but like a gear-box that is in NEUTRAL, all the gears {the Thinking mechanism} remain in motion .   Regeneration is the Mind's Effort to mend what is damaged or even  broken  so that there is Harmony, once again, within the Structure and Contents of the gear-box Mind .   Here it is were Improper Thinking and Attitude Adjustment are addressed [so] that the Mind/Gear box  functions with UNIVERSAL Resonance .   

Arnold

                        Arnold [Schwarzenegger] use to Teach, "Put your Mind in your muscle", meaning, to put your Mind INSIDE the muscle or muscle group your are 'working on' .   Arnold was convinced by his own results that this was VERY Successful {Mr. Olympia 7 times} .   This 'leverage' can be applied to Rest as well, and I insist that in order to Relax completely you must put your mind INSIDE the sinew fibers in the EXACT 'Same Way' that we put our Minds INSIDE song to get between each note that the FULL Experience anticipates Serendipity and the 'arrival' of Wisdom .   Also,  NASA  Astronauts are taught Relaxation Methods that single out each body part beginning with individual toes {of all things} .   Go figure on THAT .    OBVIOUSLY, I subscribe to Arnold, "When you Steal, Steal from the Best."            

"Special Medicine"

                       Zen Masters are aware of the use and abuse of Drugs;  with this in Mind, they refer to Drugs as "Special Medicines" .  Dr. Ken Ring, our Psychology professor advised :  "Once you get the message, hang up the phone."   I confess, I struggle with that one .  

             I  am  a  staunch  advocate  of  the  Use  of  Marijuana  for  both  Medicinal  and  Recreational deployment .   At 73,  the  use  of  MJ  as  a  Pain  Reliever alleviates day-to-day "age-related" "aches and pains" .   More traditionally, I deploy MJ as a "Super-Natural" "Aid" that I may gain access to the "Upper Realms" without crippling Injury .   Know this :  Music HEALS, and MJ is THERAPY !!    So, there's THAT !!!

The 5 R's

                       The 5  R's are :  Relaxation, Rest,, Recovery,,, Regeneration,,,, and Renewal .      

             We speak of :  "Being wound-up" and of "Unwinding" .   Lao Tzu offers this :  "Untangle the knots, soften the glare."  Steve Stills supplies this one :  "Sit yourself down, take a look around."  All good, each and every .    In polite conversation I like using the description of a diver who as worked at Depths  and  REQUIRES  --->  Decompression ---<  so  that  the Nitrogen in his or her blood-stream doesn't 'boil' .   I like Decompression because of its "life or death" DEMAND .  It's this :   Decompress or DIE !!!!!!!!  Mother Nature's SLEDGE-HAMMER  !!!

                        I can't recall where I heard this or from whom for that matter -- but it "arrived" as a 1st sentence so I'm goin' with it .

             Today's blog/bloid is about Resting and Zen Master Seung Sahn's 'deployment' of 

                                         "Put it all down, put it all down, put everything down."  

             I insist that Resting-- Getting Rest-- is as important as "Hard Training".   We will 'get to' "Hard Training" in other blogs but mention it "in passing" this morning .   OBVIOUSLY, 'Resting' is the exact opposite of Hard Training but both are EQUAL with regard to their ultimate Benefit .

             The question, "Why does Meditation require Rest ?"   For some of us maintaining the 'Meditative State' is an ALL DAY 'operation' since 'holding' a Question> that its answer may arrive freely < requires EXERTION.   Here it is where Exertion demands FOCUS and Concentration, even while performing the task at hand .   Exertion is an Expenditure of Energy and this Energy must be replenished, such is the nature of Rest .

            

"The low spark of high-heeled boys "

                       "Hidden Treasure" is the opening tract of "The low spark..."  .   I am intrigued by its refrain, "There is happiness in strife."   For years I've told anyone who would listen that I, myself, find "Relief" in Suffering, vis-a-vis the Ancient Christian Ascetics who resided in the desert to "get close to God" by Meditating and inflicting upon themselves the Misery of hair-vests and the like .   The "Mortification of the Flesh" to "get closer to God" is PERVERSION according to Christian Dogmatists but to know one's Suffering as a SIMILARITY to Jesus's is a SOMETHING of which to be Aware .

            I've considered "There is happiness in strife" as a Zen Kong-an {Korean--  Koan is Japanese} bc the only qualifier is >>> the "Million Voices of the 'River' " .   River Wisdom .   Recall "The River" in Hesse's novel, Siddhartha .   Here it is where the River affords a Tranquility impossible to the City and Village dweller .   I personally believe it's a tough "Sell" but Hesse's POWER is PERSUASIVE .

          I suppose only Winwood knows WHY he chose the River as a Source of "happiness in strife" but THAT'S the kong-an .   "What does 'happiness in strife' MEAN ??? 

            

      

"Pretenders"

                       When Hip-Hop `over-ran` R&B my head broke .   I was a roaring albeit functional DRUNK during the 80's and I had no 'mind' to listen to what I thought was shit, produced by kidz who wanted only for us to "LISTEN TO ME" and "PAY ATTENTION TO ME"-- both of which was an outcome of wildly perverted Parenting~~~ but when Blondie did "The Man From Mars" I sorta had a bend toward 'receiver-ship'  .    Rap had ITS >inkling< in Bob Dylan so what need there be for ECHO-Cho-Co-co ?  

           I bought "Pretenders" bc I heard "Brass In Pocket" and later "Mystery Achievement" -- largely IGNORING the rest of the tracts on that Album/CD .  I was rwong* to do so .   Recently I've committed myself to memorizing the complete Album/CD bc of "All selections written by Chrissie Hynde" and especially Tract 5 "Space Invader" written by Pete Farndon and James Honeyman Scott --- a MARVEL of note-by-note Exaction with THRILLING Bass Exposition .

          Hynde dwells in the "Avant-Garde" -- the Realm of what I tag as 'split-rhythms' and a kind of "Fractals" based Dimension of HEAVENLY Chords .   If Hynde was stimulated by Assisted Awareness then I want that Very Same .  2 words ::  Check out "Pretenders".

            I have so much about which to write I'm daunted .   I sit in Chairy-Chair while thoughts whirl about as though in a tornado ~ although I've never been inside a tornado but I've seen images.   Now just envision a landfill the size of Oklahoma and   put it inside a Tornado the size of South America and you have what's inside my Mind .   You feel me ??

            "I've been holding the question, "How are we to conduct ourselves during the Neo-Dark Ages."  And this one as well; "What is the Zen of Mind Warfare?" .  

            During the Nazi-ism of Hileraian Fascism, [in Germany during WWII] the GREAT Hellmut Wilhelm delivered "8 Lectures on the I Ching" .   Despite being INSIDE a mentally ill Society  Wilhelm created an Academic Haven for those interested  in Ancient Chinese Philosophy .  It was a Sanctuary for Intellectuality* --- a way to maintain at least the Decor of Academic Resolve --- a way for Civilization to gain "Advancement" by the recording of Wilhem's Studies .   It ISN'T as if Wilhelm was ignoring the INSANITY that plagued German Culture, so much as a Fortress from which to remain in the Beauty of Civilization's Splendor .   I'm down with that .

             

Wordsworth

                        We mustn't  forget  Wordsworth who gave us "Child is father to the Man" in his Poem titled, "My Heart Leaps Up" .   All the Experiences of Father Son Contact are the FOUNDATION upon which all other Experiences are subjugated .  Us gyze* learn how to Act by how are fathers 'Acted' --- such is the True Nature of Childhood itself .   Dr. Susan Forward in her book, Toxic Parents informs us that our parents voices can STILL be 'heard' "from beyond the grave" .   Many of us have Scars and Psychological Deformities that were the result of less-than-beneficial 'teachings' that were themselves the MAINSTAY of NATIONAL Socialization .   Here's one now :  "Spare the rod, spoil the child."

Kipling

                       I ALWAYS thought to include Longfellow in my  Manual Of Manhood, but NEVER thought I should write Poetry as a delivery vehicle since "..it's already be done.." by the GREATEST Eva .   

            This morning, while scrolling along the Mind Field of  'Facebook', the poem "If" by Rudyard Kipling [of Jungle Book Fame} was posted .   This Poem MAYBE the definitive text for aspiring young Males who are actively searching for Guide-Lines to aid and assist them on their Journey .   I gotta-tell-ya I DON'T know how I missed Kipling since this Poem reached LEGENDARY Heights in Great Britain [and therefore the World] .   

             I URGE all my Readers to Google "If" and hard copy it .   

The Village Smithy

                      Our 6th Grade Teacher, Mr. Lyons, gave us an assignment to memorize "The Village Blacksmith" by Longfellow ...  thing is, we had to stand before our classmate and RECITE it .   Because I absolutely LOVED his poem,, it was EZ for me and so so difficult for the others--- but that's not the point here .  What IS the Point is that this Poen and its `sensibilities` stayed with me throughout my entire life, so much tha. I can still recite the opening stanzas {no prob}.

         These lines stand out :  "His brow is wet with honest sweat,

                                                           He earns whate're he can,

                                                  And looks the whole world in the face,

                                                            For he owes not any man."

          These aren't just 'lines' they are GUIDE Lines for those of us that move along the Path toward Manhood .

        

La-z does what La-z is

                       Problem now is, I CAN work outdoors bc I have all the gear but do I WANT to ???  It was such a GREAT EXCUSE :  I CAN'T go out bc I don't have the {get this}  "Wear-With-All" ... Stupit rite ?  I agree .

           I mean this :   In the DEAD of Winter when it reaches 20 degrees WITHOUT wind, well that's fucking TROPICAL .   But here + now 20 degrees without wind STILL tears your face off --- I'm no fan of THAT !!!   I COOD locate my Carhartt fullface but then THERE ARE NO MORE EXCUSES --- Nope, it's better to have excuses in your back and front pocket so that you CAN'T be tagged, "Lazy". 

Critical Stinking

                       I sat in Chairy-Chair and convinced myself I need not commit suicide just bc I couldn't locate the Winter Wear .   It didn't take TOOO long .   I needed the gear so I cood go into my mini'barn and rummage through the Assorted, thinking,, I placed them in the barn to get them out of the way .    I have these lapses of "Critical Thinking" the Thinking that e-x--t---e----n-----d------s Common Sense to include the EZ-est form of Logic .   Folks use Critical Thinking and its Loss to explain {away} the failures of Human Intelligence to confront OBVIOUS and SOLVE Societal Mental Illness .   At its Essence Critical Thinking is employed to Solve Problems .   But I digress ..... .

           Chairy-Chair faces my 'Thought Wall' -- an old school blackboard once mounted on a roller-frame--- I got it out of Hawley Armory of U.Conn. Fame and all I had to do was ASK .  But I digress yet again .  As I stared, my Brain-Mind softened, then this "arrived" :   Cood I have packed all that gear in the closet ?  I mean THAT wood-be SUPER-INTELLIGENT----------nah, no fucking way ------but guess what ?????????   Go ahead, guess ............................... .

           

Sewer Side

                        I can't locate my Carhartt Winter Gear .   It was blistering hot that morning and I wished I'd never have to use them again .   Apparently I made that wish 'come true' bc now they remain hidden -- thing is,, it's 19 degrees and I NEED them to finish the downspout retrofit .   Woe is me .

          I STILL haven't found my lacrosse balls ---- if I ever had "it" "it" is long gone .   

          There's this one :  "Always had it, always will"  which transmogrifies to "Never had it, never will."

I think I'm there on the latter .  More woe .

          When I was drinking I entertained suicidal thoughts of a bathroom chainsaw-to-throat Demise .  These thoughts came and went as though they were clouds in as sky .   Buddhism decries suicide, and, for what it's worth, claims that if you kill yourself you will lose your Human Status .   I mean shit, you kill yourself AND you "come back" as an animal or worse .  So. there's THAT .

          

"The One is the One"

                       [In the last blog :]   Sorry about the "I am" bio shit, I know you Qidz* don't like that crap, but sometimes I get care-less.   I meant no 'ill will' .   

            I NEED to turn your attention to the One which, for me and many others is the "Tao" (pronounced DOW [[the t in Chinese is most often pronounced as a d and we can thank Jesuit Priests for that]] ) .   "The One is the One" "but MANIFESTS as the 10,000 things" where we will find Universal Duality a TREMENDOUS Oxymoron if ever there was !!!!!  This THIS is how both Negative Energy and Positive Energy are Generated by the One --- here now Good and Evil, Right and Wrong find entry and maintenance in the `fields` of Reality .   Check it out :  "Why do BAD things happen to GOOD people ?"  {The Correct Answer to this is "Karma"--- just so you know .

                       Elsewhere I've expressed my Devotion to the CONCEPT of 'Writing Kiddie Lit' yet the actual EXECUTION of Writing has eluded me mainly because I am MENTALLY ILL .  During a Session with my Therapist, one Dr. Williams, I related a dream in which I was able to levitate in order to Preach the Dharma of The Blessed One to an acre full of Devotees .   I discounted the dream as a mental aberration to which Dr. Williams responded :  "You'd rather dwell in Misery than revel in Religious Ecstasy ?"  -- tow which I replied, "Well, when you put it THAT way... ."

            In my first six "Forevers*" I languished between wanting a World Class Mind and being a Writer of Children's Literature, my only relief coming from TOLSTOY who wrote Kiddie Lit as a means to simplify complex Social ---------------------entanglements .   As you can read, my Trajectory was toward the World Class >>>  Goal .   When I am "at my best" I am being read in upwards of 15 Countries around the Planet --------- I mean,,,,,,,   there's that -------- so .......... .

"Kiddie Lit"

                       Western Humans have relied upon Fables, Fairy Tales, Legend Stories and Myths to 'socialize' their Children .   Here it is where Warnings-Of-Punishment-For-Failure -To -Obey-Parental- Limitations are cast as "Words To Live By" .  Here it is where Good and Evil are revealed to the Innocents that they may be made Safe from {potentially}  Injurious Actions .    Here it is where Children are exposed to ---> "The Difference Between Right and Wrong" .    Here it is where Morals, Mores, Ethics and the Trajectory Towards GOOD is advance in such a way as to ENTICE Children to conduct themselves according the the Rules of their PARENTS' Society -----  such is the Nature of  "Kiddie Lit" .

             

This Little Piggy Went To Hell

                        I am FRRRREEEEEEEKING OUT !!!!!!!    Kash Patel has written a Children's Book titled,  The Plot Against The King .   FUCKING-UNHOLY-FUCK  gets us there .

           Some time ago I proffered that it would take a `Hundred Years` {Revolution} to climb out of the Neo-Dark Age, in that it would require FIVE Generations to "See the Light" of first the Neo-Renaissance, and second a Neo "Age of Enlightenment" .   One Generation MUST 'Declare' that "Things are fucking FUCKED-UP" and the succeeding Generations to begin the Transformation required to 'deliver' a 'Return' to a Belief and RELIANCE upon Truth .   

           Patel's book is the BEGINNING of a the Neo Collective Conscious that seeks to propagandize Children's Literature with the EFFORT to transmit TRUMPIAN Dystopianism* INTO the Minds of the Innocents, MAKING them Soldiers of the Dark Forces where 'Dark Forces' are those of HATRED, FEAR,, BIGOTRY ,,, and NAZI-ISM .   It's fucking GENIUS albeit DIABOLICAL Genius .

Miss Informed

                       I am fascinated by the loss of what I will tag, Moralic Integrity {Integrity based on Morals},, a Loss that defines the general Malaise of Trumpiam Dystopia .   'Malaise' is being generous if not flat-out kind -- as it is a characteristic of non-trumpists who feel the PALL of Criminal and DIABOLICAL Political INSANITY .    It MAY be said that even the non-trumpists SHARE the Loss of Moralic Integrity which I am want to connect to the evaporation of Truth as FOUNDATION of Morals, Mores, Ethics and the like .    If Malaise is Feeling then Morass is the Physical .   We are floundering is a Social [Cultural] Morass in which there is no Justice and "No one is above the Law" is the BIGGEST >>>>LIE<<<<  OF ALL TIME .

                       The Zen Mirror of  "The Empty Mirror" is of little value in this instance --  here it is necessary to employ the "Mirror, Mirror, On The Wall" that we may be told the Truth   AS IT IS -- what Kant tagged, "noumenon" .     

Have we not noticed that trumpists are "deaf, dumb and blind" ????   

But are they TRUE "Tommys" ???  

Does the capacity for Enlightenment exist in them ?   

Buddhist Dogma insists, "Yes" which IS >>>  `The Dharma of Tommy Never-Tilt`.

Miss Guided

                        There's something of a paradox .   On one side you have Levy-Brul's "Participation Mystique" ---> the NON-Thinking Primal Condition and on the other ---> the THINKING Conscious that IGNORES its own Filters and chooses instead a REINFORCEMENT of PRIMITIVE Instinct .   "Double WHAMMY" ! 

              For more-than Rhetorical Purposes it is necessary to maintain the Notion that the Body Politic has but ONE Mind --- that when it is sick [demented] the Body itself suffers--- we are presently 'living' that sickness and experiencing that Suffering .   We project the One Mind of the Body Politic that we may  inject "Cure" into the Political System since the Political System is itself a Manifestation of the Mind Politic .   We can now ask, "Is there a Cure for the invasion {{INFECTION}} of the Unconscious into the ConsciousNess and therefore into {Political} Reality ?   Well now, glad we asked . 

Truth Kills

                       GENERALLY, it's understood that the Filters that prevent Unconscious Contents from invading  ConsciousNess  {aka Reality}  are  referred  to  as  [the] Conscience   (((= con - with : science -science))) .   Trump is spoken of as having NO >>>Conscience<<< which supports me claim [that trump is a heartless piece of human excrement] .   The Loss of Conscience MAY indicate a Return to Levi-Brul's  "Participation Mystique" ---  the Unconscious Connection that binds herd and flock animals and therefore is part of Animal Instinctuality .   Folks 'side with' trump in an UNTHINKING manner manifested as Loyalty bordering on devotion and veneration {THAT'S the DISEASE} .   They and he represent {perhaps not the best word for this context} a [now Biological] Move toward a WORLD in which THEIR "agenda" {again maybe a poor choice} is one of EXCLUSION --- where Exclusion MUST-BE viewed as a NEVER-ENDING "War against the Other" ...  here it is where ANY and ALL perceived Threats MUST BE ELIMINATED !!!!!!!!!!!!  

"Inside Out"

                       We are all familiar with the term, "Body Politic" .  I have supplemented it with `Mind Politic` to expand its [the Body Politic] scope and measure .  Also,, I do so to include Psychology as a means to penetrate Reality to expose Underlying Conceits that influence ConsciousNess* DIRECTLY.   Here it is where we must perceive trump as the Manifestation of  his own Unconscious   which then MUST-BE connected to the Body and Mind Politic so that we may see the Difficulty an UnconsciousNess may generate if it is NOT restricted by Conscious-Ness .    We've heard the broad-casters inform, "He says the silent stuff out-loud", meaning, he airs what should remain SECRET, the so-called >Inner Thoughts< whose very presence indicates Primal Instinctuality*, the one of the "Law of the Jungle", "The Instinct of Self-Preservation", "Eat or be eaten" and Others .   We know that the Growth and Development of the Conscious coincides with the Growth and Development of Civilization,,, and here now the Concept of Civilization comes to the fore .   I mean that this way :  Civilization is the RESULT of ConsciousNess gaining an Ascendancy and in so doing, becoming a >Filter<  that keeps Primal Instinctuality, in its place .   When the Unconscious manifests as REALITY , all the Contents of the Unconscious becomes a Force unto itself, whereby, Primality* supplants Civilizationalism*--- here it is where REGRESSION is PROMOTED as "The Nu Future" .

"Questions 67 and 68"

                       What is there to be Salvaged from the 24 Election, if anything ?    Specifically, what can be extracted and re-used or repurposed to build an Election Machine that can neutralize and then Counter trump and Trumpism ???    What  are  the  guidelines  and   parameters to justify the Effort required ?   Exactly what is the Understanding needed for such an Undertaking ?   CLEARLY,   the  People have summarily REJECTED the damns* Vision of American Life, its problematical penchant for a Prosperity DEVOID of Taxation,, the ABJECT HATRED of Liberals and ALL that they "Stand For" , and the MASSIVE UNWILLINGNESS TO STAND IN FRONT OF THE GREAT MIRROR [and then] to SEE CLEARLY  ???

                       All those folks that assured us that "Everything will be ok bc Harris is-gonna win" should be abjectly DISMISSED and DISQUALIFIED from democrap Leadership positions including Harris, Obama and ALL the transient riff-raff that promised us Victory .   They and their ideas are PROVEN Losers .   In all things going forward  these folks should be left behind to wallow in their shit and piss of   ABJECT  FAILURE  ... which then begs,,  Who is there among us that can See Clearly and HEAR the Voices of the People ????

                       Somewhere in "Out There" is a series of blogs I wrote about "In God We Trust" and how that phrase EPITOMIZES the NON-SEPARATION of  "Church and State" .    Every time we handle currency it is IMPOSSIBLE  that "In God We Trust" DOESN'T  effect us in some Subliminal Way .    It's the thing about 'unremitting reinforcement' --- it drives 'beliefs' into out Psyche and alters are brain to conform to its demands .   Know this :  "Repetition is POWER".   Believe it.   

              Here, now, God's WILL is manifested AS Currency .   Indeed, God's Will IS Money .   Now recall this,  "The love of money is the root of all Evil."   Let's extrapolate ,  If God is Money and Money is the "Root of all Evil , then God, "is the root of all Evil" .   Tough-one     I know .

                       We know from Pirsig that the Consciousness of Modern Western Man has, as its Essences, those of the Olympians via address by Homer, the Blind Poet .  Everything that a Man could be, SHOULD BE, is found within the pages of the Iliad, and the Odyssey .    Western Man values War -- sad, it is .

Competition

                       One  of  the  'Essences'  of  Democracy  is  Capitalism  and  Capitalism's  Essence  is Competition .   Check out this syllogism :  IF we are all Equal, THEN what need is there for competition ?[Since anyone is equal to anyone else, it wouldn't matter.]  You can see it rite ?   Here it is where the Realm of "Better" is the Foundation of the Psyche of the Body Politic --- folks want a BETTER life .   It is Competition that defines what {or whom} is "better" .  Technically, there's no way to know what or who is `better` until a Competition produces the Result .   

              In America, the Election produced the Belief that trump was "better" than Harris and therefore, Fascism "is better than" Democracy .   The History of Hitler, Mussolini, Pol Pot, and the other Fascists DID NOT MATTER --- which means, HISTORY DOES NOT MATTER, I mean, to trumpists .  'That' shouldn't be surprising in any way since History is the Truth-as-Depiction of the Passage of Human Time .

                        I must begin by stealing from William Wordsworth (1777 - 1850) his "Child is father to the man" line from "My Heart Leaps Up" aka "The Rainbow" . {{{ "When you steal, steal from the Best" -- Woody Allen}}} .    Modern times inculcated this : "The apple does not fall far from the tree."    We must agree that ANY 'discussion' of Manhood is dependent upon the `life and times` of BOTH Parents but for our purposes in THIS discussion, only the Father is featured .    Elsewhere I have echoed-choed-oed , the Science of Psychology which supplied this :   A boy learns how to conduct himself with women  from his father .   In this 'way' so it is with all the other characteristics, traits and deportments* which give rise to the earliest Male Identity and its concomitant abilities .   HOW {by what means} you were raised is significant given this Known*  :   "Spare the rod, spoil the child ."   In my case it was the steel wire handle of the fly swatter on my bare buttocks and Ivory soap in the mouth >>>  my mother cooda-been a Nun .   My father only hit me once, sending me sprawling across the kitchen floor .   Trust me when I write you , I had nightmares as a kid .

                       Yesterday I felt confident that today's 'first sentence' would provide the lubricant needed to release years and years of inner-most Secrets .   That 'first sentence' was this :  The TV series "Kung Fu" afforded a World View that was in DIRECT OPPOSITION to TV Westerns and ITS 'World View' .    This morning, however, that first sentence is like a rusted-out freeze plug on a landscapeman's* steel roller .   I mean, the rust acts like a weld, so it is with my Mind .   

            There is a 'School of Thought' which signals that some Secrets are to be "taken to one's grave" in order to keep {{Steve Miller's}} "Pointless Suffering" from advancing un-requested information, data,, and worse, Knowledge,,, into the Psyche of unsuspecting {un-protected} Readers .   I have Agonized over this ------------------------ dysturbance*  because  in  one hand  the Secrets  MAY  be  useful  as a benchmark for other Seekers of the Truth, but on the other hand, there is the question of REAL >>> Value  ---  does  the  expression  of  personal Truths violate PUBLIC Sensibilities ???   We sometimes hear :   "Some things are better left un-said ."  .   I mean, there's that ... .

                       I didn't know WHERE I was headed .  I didn't know {exactly} what the {my} Goal was, all I DID know, was that I felt shitty most of the time, and disconnected from The Campus's Psyche .   I started hearing things ----  "Heart of Gold" among them ---  folks wanted to be around others who spoke no evil, who were FUN to be around, blah-blah-blah ---  I mean, it sounded good, to have a Heart of Gold and to be liked, to have folks WANT to be in your "Circle" .   Ultimately I dismissed it,  those kids seemed vacuous and chained to a superficiality that I just COULD-NOT accept .  No, there would be no "Heart of Gold" for me .   Years and EONS later, I was to "want" a Heart of BOLD .   Where there is Boldness, there is a WILLINGNESS  to accept RISK as a viable  means to advance in a POSITIVE direction .  But even before that, ORIENTATION was a problem,  Orientation is like a Physics of sorts--- exactly HOW was I to be Oriented ?   

Kidner's Garden

               We relied on our parents and THEIR "World View" for the initial Code, that is, in order to satisfy THEM, where we were slightly less than coerced to adhere to their > Code, and for the most part, that Code that Society and Culture thrust upon them and so onto US by the Socialization Process .   I am Portuguese and was raised Catholic so much so that Kindergarten and 1st and 2nd grades was spent at a Catholic Grammar School where the Nuns were FEARED .  It was 3rd grade that saw my entry into "polite" society .   You can see it, rite ?

         It wasn't until Freshman Year at U. Conn. that I rejected God, mainly bc, and I learned this the HARD Way, You CANNOT "Petition the Lord with Prayer"  {as Jim Morrison and the Doors projected} .   God knows, {LOL}  I tried .   At that Point, I decided to find a Code that satisfied ME and MY Needs--- that's my Beginning ... .

Code X

                "You, you along the road, must have a Code, that you can live by ...."  Such is the first line from "TEACH YOUR CHILDREN", the second 'cut' off "Deja Vu" -- the 1970 release of Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young {Percussion > Dallas Taylor :  Bass >  Greg Reeves :   Steel Guitar  >  Jerry Garcia .}   The Song itself is  'gentle prodding', an admonition almost, that speaks to prevent Moral Chaos in the Drug and Free-Sex Sub-Culture of Hippie-dom .    Within the Lyrics is advise to counsel one's parents as well .   

          This point is as good as ANY 'point' to begin a Discussion of Manhood, its Attainment and Maintenance .   We can figure that the Hippies REJECTED the 10 Commandments, bc if THEY were Viable what need is there for a Code to supplant them ?   

           You start  asking  Questions  and  you  find  you   MUST ask, 'Why do we need a Code to begin with ?'  Above is my first answer .   There are times when you just can't figure-out what is required for various circumstances and especially those that DEMAND an INTELLIGENT Response .   Sometimes the  Answer  does NOT  'arrive'  from our  'reservoir'  of experiences --- so where, and to what,, do we turn ?

Getting to "Old School"

                        In order to get to "Old School" you-gotta walk uphill, in the Dead of Winter, DURING a Once-a-Century BLIZZARD .   

            I grew-up in a Time WHERE THERE WAS NO `OLD SCHOOL ` .   Can you dig that ?  Old School was STATE-OF-THE-ART -- CUTTING EDGE Definery* {expressions that define} in my case-  from 1952 to 1964 .   At this Time, America, too,  was "Coming of Age" ... .

            Here it was that Chivalry WAS the generally accepted Code and with IT so was the "Code" of the Wild West .   You want Contradiction ?  ``I gots your CONTRADICTION ryte HERE`` .   

Getting to Know-where

                       Me and mine grew-up in the Realm of Chivalry .   It would behoove my readers to indulge in Wikipedia's coverage of Chivalry in order that familiarization be actualized .    Chivalry is a Code of Conduct .   Within this Code is a Sub-Code for the "Treatment of Women" with regard to one's conduct and deportment .   This starting point only SEEMS to be appropriate but I have concerns that Chivalry, as a term. was NOT part of male Socialization as far as grammar and high school are related .   There were MANNERS and Social Etiquette that WERE relied upon to impose pressure to conform :  among these, holding doors open, giving your seat to a Female and respecting the old and infirm .   There WAS significant address directed toward young boys and young {{men}} to satisfy the demands of this Code if for nothing else -- to be a Gentleman-- a Man of the Social Graces -- and in THIS us guys struggled and STRUGGLED MIGHTILY .   I mean, haven't ALL Us Gyze* found Girls, Chicks, Foxes and the like, fucking SCARY ???  I know I did --- shit ----  THEY STILL ARE !!!!!!!!!!!!

                       Elsewhere  I have written, "You either grow-up to Disney or you grow-up to "World of War" .   Briefly, it may be said that Disney broad-casted the Values, Moral and Mores of the post WWII Status Quo, while "World of War" found disquieting acceptance as a platform not just for entertainment, but as propagandal* indoctrination .   Where Disney found Killing a hideous expression of VIOLENT Criminality, World-of-War dictated a Killing-is-FUN diabolicism* that defined a generation that did NOT accept "All Life Is Sacred" .   I accuse TV and Pop Culture of Spiritual Malfeasance in that no consideration was manufactured in order to ensure a HEALTHY  media-environment .   `It's` all "spilt milk" at this point and a 'closing of the barn doors' as well .   However ... .

                I am viciously reluctant to use my Generation's 'upbringing' as a Foundation for Ethnographic Analysis DESPITE the Logic that dictates I MUST .   There are components of this Foundation that have been identified as `parental cruelty` as "Spare the rod, spoil the child" indicate :   there are others, among those, "Big boys [girls] don't cry" ; and this one :  "boys are made of piss and vinegar, girls are made of sugar and spice" ["and all things NICE"] .   You can see 'it' rite ?   I'm sure glad YOU can because I am dead blind.
