Land Of The Cost

The 2nd 'cut' on U2's "The Joshua Tree" is titled, "I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For".  It is a vibrantly haunting dereliction of Abstract Purity, the Purity being the Acknowledgment of Failure.  Bono cloaks his Search as Existential Abnormality, hiding his Concern that he SHOULD have "found" what he was looking for a WAAAY Long Time Ago.  Bono is no mere 'gifted' Poet.  He is a supremely 'advanced' Visionary--- a One of MASSIVE 'Success', a(n) One of Generational Voice and Universal Awareness.  He HAS attained Cosmic Consciousness--his Lyrics are PROOF, yet there is this Confession of Abject Failure, made brilliantly Beautiful by Ghost Blessings.

He laments not just of Failure, Human Failure, his Lament is Sorrow-stricken.

After all his Success, here he is, in a Wasted Time Land.
