There's an absolutely PUNISHING sequence in "Moonrise Kingdom" where Suzy's Mom and Dad lie on SEPARATE beds and converse in a Marriage Code to which ALL of us have been exposed. The rudiments of their Marriage Failure and consequently their union-ed Failure to "Understand" their Daughter is revealed in just tw o sentences . Suzy's Mom resigns, "We're all they have". There's TEN year's worth of MONSTROUS Silence and Suzy's Dad condemns, "It's not enough."
The FACT that the republicans and democrats "reside" in the same "House" ISN'T "Enough". They are living a Life of DIV ORCE and there is NO "Real" Communication between them save for superficial Business.
Here, there is only marriage ABOMINATION.
