Orwell

                                                           There's an 'expression' I will examine, it is :  "That will never happen here", and even more precisely, "That will never happen".   

                            In Junior High School we had to read Orwell's Animal Farm .  That was 7th Grade mandatory reading and in 8th Grade most of us had taken "IT" upon ourselves to read his (Orwell) 1984 .  I can say with ease that WE WERE SCARED SHITLESS, but this FEAR was somewhat mitigated~~~~~ that our Country --AMERICA-- would NEVER allow Communism to get even ONE 'foothold' in the American Political System.  We took REFUGE in that BELIEF .  We TRUSTED America and its politicians some of whom were Worthy enough to be tagged ---> Statesmen......so when trump ran for President, WE BELIEVED that "America" would NEVER elect such a cad, such a cur, such a DOLT ! He had NO political training   WHATSOEVER   and `that` alone should have disqualified him from   ANY serious Consideration .
